    The Children’s Museum of Cleveland

The Children’s Museum Cleveland is located in a renovated mansion on “Millionaire’s Row” in downtown Cleveland. The museum offers an “open-ended learning environment giving children the opportunity to imagine, experiment, problem-solve and communicate.” We arrived not knowing what to expect from the space, and left feeling extremely impressed by the interactive, hands-on exhibits. The museum boasts eight interactive and themed play areas, with one specifically designed for children age 0-3. Adventure City is a kid-sized world complete with a kitchen, doctors office, construction zone, and more. The area is a multi-level environment which provides children with multiple opportunities to climb, explore, and problem solve. We spent the majority of our time…

Consistency is Key at Goldfish Swim School

Disclaimer: We were provided free swimming lessons by Goldfish Swim School in exchange for collaborating blog posts. All thoughts and opinions are my own. What is wonderful about Goldfish Swim School is that even though we have a different instructor, there is consistency built into each lesson, so my son knows what to expect.…

Disclaimer: We were provided free swimming lessons by Goldfish Swim School in exchange for collaborating blog posts. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I am continually impressed by how much my daughter learns and grows during her lessons at Goldfish Swim School. Taking Turns From these photos you would think my daughter is the only one in the class. When in reality…

12 Must Have Books for Baby’s First Year

Reading is one of the most powerful ways you can promote your baby’s speech, language, and cognitive development, and it is never too early to start. Reading well before baby is speaking, is an important bonding experience and exposes him to language, rhythm, sentence structure, and new vocabulary. There are so many wonderful books out there, written specifically for young children, that it might be hard to determine where to start. After observing my two babies, and using children’s book in countless speech therapy sessions, I…
