11 Can’t Miss Activities This Fall in Central Ohio

Fall is a wonderful time of year here in Central Ohio and it is jam packed with so much to do. The following are just a few of the can’t miss activities happening in the area.

Visit the sunflowers at Tecumseh Land Trust.  The field is on US-68 on your way to Yellow Springs, Ohio (about a 45 minute drive). This year the sunflowers are expected to bloom between September 9th – 22nd. Get your camera ready and head to the field.

Check out Harvest Blooms at the Franklin Park Conservatory from September 22nd – October 28th. Stroll amongst a colorful display of mums and ornamental kale to feel fall in all it’s glory!

Stop by Chalk the Block at Easton on September 29th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. This event features artists working to transform a 10′ square space into a work of chalk art.

Check out the Columbus Commons Harvest Fair on Saturday, September 29th. There will be pumpkins, games, crafts, and of course inflatables!

Be a part of the Columbus Buddy Walk on September 30th. Whether you have Down syndrome, know someone who does, or just want to show your support, head out to MapFre stadium to help raise funds for the Down Syndrome Association of Central Ohio.

Go apple picking at Legend Hills Orchard in Utica, Ohio. This apple orchard is filled with mature apple trees set amongst rolling hills, which makes for a beautiful apple picking experience.

Find the perfect pumpkin at Schacht Farm Market in Canal Winchester, Ohio. Schacht Farm offers a large u-pick field and provides a low key pumpkin picking experience.

Check out the haunted greenhouse at DeMonye’s Greenhouse from October 1st – 31st. Decorate pumpkins, play in a corn sensory pit, or make your way through a haystack maze. The best part is this experience isn’t weather dependent.

Head down to The Circleville Pumpkin Show. Ohio’s oldest festival will be held on October 17th – 20th this year. Find everything pumpkin related you could ever want!

Boo at the Zoo at the Columbus Zoo is a “merry-not-scary” event. The zoo will be transformed into a Halloween wonderland during the weekends of Oct. 19th–21st and 26th–28th.

Take in the fall sights at one of the 19 Columbus Metro Parks.
