Summer Challenge #10: Complete a Scavenger Hunt

If you have been following Say-n-Play Columbus for awhile you know how much we love a good scavenger hunt. With the weekly challenges, this summer has felt like one giant scavenger hunt. We have been on the hunt for new foods, to finding a new playground, to a weeklong photography challenge with prompts.

This final week of the #saynplaythesummeraway weekly challenges, we are challenging you to participate in our weeklong scavenger hunt. I am excited to have had the opportunity to partner with local businesses to provide a grand prize at the end of the week. The prize includes a bucket filled with a bubble want, sidewalk chalk, a Columbus Commons cup, $10 to Winans, $10 to the North Market, a free pint of Velvet Ice Cream, and 4 passes to the Franklin Park Conservatory.

Here’s How to Play:

If you have already used the hashtag #saynplaythesummeraway this summer you have already been entered in the drawing for the number of times you used the hashtag.

The official scavenger hunt will begin on Monday. Each day I will be featuring one of our favorite places around the city. The first one to the spot will find a bubble wand with a sweet treat. For everyone else, snap a photo and share on Instagram and Facebook.

To enter into the drawing for the grand prize, take a photo of the featured spot and share on Instagram and/or Facebook using #saynplaythesummeraway and tagging @saynplaycolumbus. Each photo shared and each platform the photo is shared on will count as an entry. You will have the week to find the spot and share the photo.

Some hints for where we will be this week…

Monday: We challenge you to find the site of the first Franklin County Fair in 1852.

Tuesday:We challenge you to find the only children’s bookstore in Columbus.

Wednesday: We challenge you to find a fenced in toddler park.

Thursday: We challenge you to find Columbus’s last remaining public market.

Friday: We challenge you to find the site of the original City Center.

We hope you have a wonderful rest of the summer. Thanks for playing along with us!
